LETS is dedicated to multiple projects at the tourism-sustainability interface.
Natour Project (2020 - 2024)
Co-funded by Erasmus+, the NATOUR is a project that works in a network to create a graduate program in Ecotourism and Nature Guiding. Within a cooperation between the European Union and Latin America, it has partners in seven countries: Spain, Portugal, Germany, Bulgaria, Colombia, Chile and Brazil
The overall objective of NATOUR is to develop, validate and implement a joint postgraduate study programme in the field of ecotourism and interpretive nature, aligned with the national and sectoral priorities of the Partner Countries and in accordance with the quality standards of higher education in the European Union.
LETS is part of the Natour Brasil network, made up of UnB and UFRRJ. The UnB Nucleus is composed of a triad: the Center for Sustainable Development (CDS), the Center for Excellence in Tourism (CET) and UnB Cerrado. The following teachers work in the project: André Cunha (local coordinator), Elimar Nascimento, Helena Costa and João Tasso, alongside colleagues José Luiz Andrade and Luiz Spiller.
Among the LETS - Natour actions, Evarist March Sarlat , our partner from Spain, gave an excellent presentation on the question: How do guides improve the quality of tourism and conservation in the 21st century: interpret to conserve or conserve to interpret? Check The video of the Meeting.
