LETS participated as an academic partner in the pioneering study launched today at the University of Brasilia.

The proposal was born from Raízes 360, a partnership between the companies Roots Sustainable Development and Turismo 360 Consultoria . For the methodological development, the University of Brasília (UNB) was invited, which quickly adhered to the purpose through LETS – Laboratory of Tourism and Sustainability Studies , an academic partner of the initiative. They also joined as a dissemination partner, the Spot Tourism (platform for the dissemination of research and tourism articles), and as institutional support to Boticário Group Foundation (currently one of the most active initiatives at ISP in actions involving tourism) and bridgePoint (a company specialized in ISP support), with the support of Group of Institutes, Foundations and Companies (GIFE).

Study cover

The formation of the group began in 2022 and the first interviews with a questionnaire co-created by this alliance will take place in July 2023. Qualitative and in-depth data were collected from the main actors of private social investment in Brazil, whether they are companies, institutes or foundations.

The results of this research are systematized in the e-book available here:

https://turismospot.com.br/investimento-social-privado-em-turismo/

The desire of those involved is to generate and share reflections on how companies already impact (and can impact more) society with actions in the tourism sector and its entire broad chain.
