Will tourism be different in the post-pandemic?

With this disturbing question, Eduardo Maia (O Globo) sought LETS for an analysis. LETS researcher Fernanda Hummel, a specialist in tourism marketing, gave an interview that you can check out here .

Fernanda draws attention to some points, such as the acceleration and consolidation of some megatrends that were already taking shape in the pre-pandemic. One of them is the appreciation of the place (entrepreneurs and products), in addition to prioritizing national travel and the concern of younger generations with issues related to quality of life, social and ethical values and sustainability.

The instability caused by the pandemic can still last for months or a few years, but it was clear in the article that some trends will last because some values have changed. The question is how much the Brazilian market is adapting to meet new post-pandemic habits.
